I’m writing to share with you my strong support for Terra Lawson-Remer, Democratic candidate for San Diego County Supervisor, and I hope that you can join with me in voting and organizing for her!
While many of us have been following the presidential election, this year we also face a critical local election for the San Diego County Board of Supervisors. I'm excited to support Democrat Terra Lawson Remer. She is a former senior advisor in the Obama administration, third generation San Diegan, economist, educator, and small businesswoman.

Terra will lead with a bold vision to combat the climate crisis, tackle COVID-19, expand access to healthcare, address affordable housing and homelessness, protect our coastlines and open spaces and quality of life, and build a region that works for everyone.
Terra’s opponent, incumbent Supervisor Kristin Gaspar, stands with Donald Trump on nearly every issue.
Gaspar wants to repeal the Affordable Care Act, which would leave nearly 400,000 San Diego county residents without healthcare, in the middle of a pandemic.
Gaspar has failed us on Covid19, echoing Trump in rejecting science and public health officials, calling to accelerate reopening in May, long before we were ready, and preferring not to count cases that would make our numbers look worse.
Gaspar sides with the radical gun lobby that opposes all sensible gun safety laws to limit gun violence. She opposes a ban on military assault weapons, and voted to allow an armed militia group to conduct weapons training on public lands.
Gaspar supported Trump's disastrous tax plan, which cut taxes for billionaires and big companies while raising taxes on middle-class Californians and adding two trillion dollars to the national debt.
Gaspar was an early and loyal Trump supporter. She endorsed Trump in the 2016 primary, and has flown back to visit Trump's team in the White House 5 times at taxpayer expense.
Gaspar has championed Trump's inhumane policies on immigration, including defending his statements calling immigrants animals.
Terra Lawson-Remer has the proven experience our County needs. She will lead the fight to safeguard our beaches and coastlines, end sprawl development, address our affordable housing crisis, combat climate change, and protect our most vulnerable from the Trump Administration.
That’s why Nurses, Teachers, Firefighters, Lifeguards, the Sierra Club, Climate Defenders, League of Conservation Voters, the Brady United Against Gun Violence, San Diegans for Gun Violence Prevention, Planned Parenthood, the San Diego & Imperial Counties Labor Council, the Democratic Party, and dozens of elected officials from Governor Newsom to local Mayors and Councilmembers, all endorse Terra Lawson-Remer.
