About the Program

End Date: November 5, 2024
Part-Time Hours: 10 hours + 1 canvass per week
Location: La Jolla
Responsibilities
Support District 3 Democratic voter outreach and get out the vote plans.
Recruit and support volunteers on weekly door-knocking events, text banks, and phone banks.
Train door knockers and phone bankers on effective voter contact strategies.
Coordinate with community leaders and supporters to ensure volunteer turnout.
Provide visibility for the campaign in the community and at events as directed by the field director.
Assist with other campaign-related duties as needed.

Passionate about Democratic values
One cycle of organizing experience on a political or advocacy campaign
Experience recruiting, training, and managing volunteers
Ability to listen to volunteers and go the extra mile to show the campaign’s appreciation for them
Experience meeting deadlines and the ability to manage many tasks simultaneously
Strong communication skills and ability to communicate needs and expectations to senior staff and consultants
Ability to support on some evenings and weekends
Access to a cell phone and vehicle
